Hybrid Racing shifter cables provide a performance-oriented replacement for stock OEM cables in select Honda K‑swap configurations. The design features solid rod ends, a permanently lubricated core, spherical bearings, and aluminum end links to deliver a firmer, more connected shift feel in your installs and address your shoppers’ demand for precise, predictable shifting. Heat resistance up to 225°F and a maximum bend radius of 5 inches support longer life under demanding use, including high-load shifting in race-oriented settings.
Additional notable features include spherical bearings, stainless steel push rods, and upgraded stainless steel swivel support tubes (OEM cables commonly use plastic parts that can fail). All rod ends and mounting bushings are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, anodized black, and laser etched for durability in daily shop use.
Not a direct OEM replacement
These cables are not a direct OEM shifter cable replacement. They are designed for customers running Honda K-series transmissions in the following configurations: K20A (FD2 Type R), K20Z4 (FN2 Type-R), K24Z3 (08-12 Accord/09-14 TSX), and K24Z7 (12-15 Civic Si) with the Z3 bolt-in shifter. For successful integration in K-swapped builds, the OEM cast cable mounting bracket must be retained.
These cables will not fit RSX, EP3 Civic Si, or TSX chassis. For the listed K‑Swap configurations, use the FD2 Type R K20A, FN2 Type R K20Z4, 08-12 Accord/09-14 TSX, and 12-15 Civic Si K24Z7 transmissions and brackets with these shifter cables. They are designed to fit that trans with the OEM bracket and the Hybrid Racing K‑Swap Z3 shifter. The Z3 No Cut Short Shifter is compatible with this setup: Z3 No Cut Short Shifter - HYB-SAS-01-11.
