From a dealer perspective, the HYB-IDB-01-02 and HYB-IDB-01-04 provide a reliable, bolt-on solution for K-Series belt drives. The idler bracket and pulley kit is designed to maintain the serpentine belt within the OEM tension window, reducing belt wear and the risk of belt slip or detachment. The system preserves the OEM water pump housing and alternator by relocating the power steering pump via a dedicated bracket, with a tensioning guide that aligns with the factory belt path. The geometry also improves hood clearance to support a broader range of installations. Two kits cover the USDM and JDM engine variants, and crank pulley measurements determine bolt-on compatibility without modifying the water pump housing or other accessories.

HYB-IDB-01-02
This kit represents the most common configuration. It fits a wide range of K-Series water pump housings and engines, including K20A, A2, A3, Z1, Z3, Z4, and K24A1/A2/A4/A8 (USDM). A crank pulley measurement determines the exact belt path for a bolt-on installation with no water pump housing modifications required. Benefits include improved hood clearance (over 1.5" versus stock) and a system footprint that is .5" shorter than the OEM EP3 idler bracket and pulley.

HYB-IDB-01-04
This kit is specifically designed for the JDM K24A engine. It includes a spacer bracket tailored to this engine configuration, where no other tested OEM option provides the same compatibility. Hood clearance is improved by 1.81" compared to the factory K24A power steering pump. This kit does not include a belt.

How to choose the correct belt:
1. Determine which engine you are using (K20 or K24).
2. Determine if you are running AC.
3. Measure the outside diameter of the crank pulley.
4. Refer to the belt sizing chart to select the correct size for the kit and pulley.
