Chase Bays Radiator Hose Kit for EZ30 / EZ36 into 86 / BRZ [ZN6]
After a year of hard work and testing, we're ready to release our EZ30 / EZ36 into ZN6 / 86 / BRZ Engine Swap Kit! We have already produced many of the components, however we want to pre-order 10 qty of the full kits and some of the components to confirm the hype is real and get some of the harder to produce items going. We've had a good bit of requests for individual components like our electronics package, cooling setup, and header...as much as we want to sell everything together so we know it's done right, we will have these items for sell on their own.
Again; we don't know volume. So we are functioning as a pre-order. Once we hit 10 qty it will take 6-8 weeks to complete and ship this. We will have the count below this text with dates to show how many we've pre-sold.
Kits Pre-Sold
The Chase Bays Radiator Hose Kit brings the EZ30 / EZ36 cooling system together with clean routing, purpose-built transitions, and hardware chosen for the places you actually have to reach. An aluminum upper hardline with silicone connections and a fully molded silicone lower hose connect the EZ engine to the ZN6 radiator while integrating the Chase Bays Swirl Pot that comes standard with our EZ Swap Kit.
We put serious thought into every bend, connection, and clamp. We’re builders and drivers ourselves. We know how frustrating it is when a part fits but makes everything around it harder to install or service. This kit reflects the problems we solve on our own cars before they can even become problems on yours.
Upper Hose: Two Engine Outlets, One Clean Connection
The EZ engine has two 28mm coolant outlets, while the ZN6 radiator has one 38mm inlet. Our fabricated aluminum hardline brings those outlets together through a carefully shaped 2-into-1 Y-merge, increasing diameter as the two paths combine. The transition closely matches their combined flow area, with geometry designed to balance the paths into the radiator.
Two 28mm silicone couplers connect the hardline to the engine. A silicone 45° elbow connects it to the radiator, keeping the assembly compact and giving it the clean, intentional appearance we want from an engine swap.
The upper hardline also incorporates:
-
A Y-integrated 1/4-inch barb for the Swirl Pot connection.
-
A 1/8 NPT sensor port for the thermoswitch used with our Fan Relay Wiring Kit.
Lower Hose: Made for the EZ Swap
The fully molded silicone lower hose is shaped specifically for the EZ30 / EZ36 installation. Its integrated Y-inlet merge connects the Chase Bays Swirl Pot directly into the lower hose, keeping the routing simple, and eliminating the need to piece together a separate inline junction.
Both upper and lower silicone components feature a black exterior and acid green interior.
The Right Clamp in the Right Location
We use spring clamps at the engine connections and the upper hardline-to-elbow connection for secure hold, thermal expansion accommodation, and silicone longevity.
At the radiator connections, where the fan shroud and core support make spring-clamp access frustrating, we use constant spring-tension T-bolt clamps with smooth inner bands. They maintain clamping pressure through temperature changes while providing a silicone-friendly clamping surface and easier access for installation and service.
These details matter when you’re building the car—and again when you’re working on it between sessions.
Note: This eliminates the factory fill point and stock coolant overflow, it requires use of the Chase Bays Swirl Pot and Coolant Overflow Kit which as of 10/24 won't release for another month. We feel very strongly this engine should be used with a swirl pot for max cooling efficiency.
You will pay more money and time piecing this together, we highly recommend buying the full swap package(s):
